New Year's Party Hat

   The New Year's Party hat is a popular item in the land of Jamaa. It is rarely found on Jammers' trade lists, and they would offer a lot for it.
   They were a Monthly Member gift for January 2012. They are rare, and possibly they could come back or they might be sold in the Diamond Shop in different colors. It is one the few items that have animation. The part with the animation is the confetti that bursts out from the top. The most common party hat is the Red party hat.
   They come in red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, and greyish white. 
   Party hats are commonly coveted, although they are not as uncommon as unrare beards. They are common among rare or beta players.

Elf Tail Armor

   These are Elf Tail Armors. A few of them are being sold in the Diamond Shop for 4 diamonds. The bottom 8 tail armors in the picture above are being sold. The others were sold in the beta days and hardly is seen on Jammers' trade lists.
   There are no rare version of the Elf Tail Armor, and every tail armor is a Member Only item.They come in pink with red, white with grey and red, olive green with red, green with blue, purple with green, dark purple, and yellow, purple with orange, black with blue, orange with blue, green with purple, periwinkle with turquoise, pink with purple, black with grey and red, and brown with yellow and red.
   The Elf Tail Armor is rarely seen on Jammers' trade lists either because they think that they are worth very little or beta tail armors are extremely rare for them.

Eagles are Here!

   Since the kangaroo came out, Animal Jam has been making a few new animals. The newest is the Eagle, and it is sold in the Diamond Shop for 10 diamonds. I was hoping it would be sold in the regular animal store, like the deer. 

 Now that eagles are here, you can fly with them. You can now fly in the skies and watch the Jammers below you :3 It's like having an animal that cannot fly and doing glitches with it. You can sit on roofs with the eagles! 

 Pet tigers have returned to Jamaa, and are sold in the Diamond Shop for 3 diamonds.

If you have heard about the chat update, AJHQ heard how we reacted and are trying to improve it. I do miss making the fancy faces such as -.-, .-., >.>, and such. Let's just hope for the best.

Like what always happens when Animal Jam releases a new animal, they will have a few facts available about eagles in the Conservation Museum.

If you're running low on diamonds, you can purchase a gift certificate at Animal Jam Outfitters. These gift certificates include 10 to 25 virtual diamonds!

There are a few new cool items available in Diamond Shop, which includes Dragon Gloves, Snow Clouds, Rain Clouds, and a Swoopy Eagle game console.

 Swoopy Eagle is Animal Jam's new game for all jammers. It is Animal Jam's version of Flappy Bird, but instead of pipes you have to avoid the cactuses. Sounds fun :)

Spiked Collar

Spiked Collar

The Spiked Collars are a highly coveted item in Animal Jam. They are not beta items, but they have a high price, and are wanted through many Jammers. The "long" spiked collars are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, and black. They are a Member Only item.

The picture above shows all the "short" spiked collars; yellow, orchid, pink, red, green, blue, orange, and black. They are also a Member Only item.

These are all of the forms of the "long" Spiked Collar, sold in the Diamond Shop for 3 diamonds. They come in turquoise and pink, green and orange, brown and light brown, blue and slightly lighter blue, green and slightly lighter green, cream and yellow, orange-brown and light brown, and grey and white. They grey and white Spiked Collar is the most common spiked collar members buy.

Headdress

These are headdresses. They are not all beta items. and loved because of their rarity and their pleasant look on animals. They are a Member Only item. 
The beta Headdresses are the orange w/ white, pink w/ purple, black w/ green, and red w/ cream. The rest were sold in 2011. The unrare headdresses are sold for 200 gems.

The Rare Headdress was sold in 2012 as a Rare Item Monday. It was sold in Jam Mart Clothing for 650 gems, and was a Member Only item, like the other headdresses.

Worn Blanket

                          Worn Blanket

These are worn blankets. They are a beta item, and loved for its pleasant look on most animals. They come in red-brown, red, pink, cream yellow, olive green, grey-purple, and grey-black. The picture above has the beta form and the current form of the worn blanket. The brown and purple worn blankets are the current form of it. The rest is the beta form.
They are called "worns" for short, and they are mostly used with top hats, gazelle horns, and fox hats. Most "clan" warriors, apprentices, and kits use it with fox hats, head feathers, or headdresses.

This is the rare worn blanket, sold not in the beta days. It is neon purple.

New Items-February 9

                          New Items

The Heart Glasses, a Member Only item, is now being sold once again for the Friendship Festival event, in Jam Mart Clothing for 150 gems. It comes in raspberry w/ light pink, pink w/ ice blue, red w/ blue, blue w/ light orange, raspberry w/ yellow, raspberry w/ green, raspberry w/ red, and raspberry w/ purple.

These are a new items, and looks good on most animals. The Cupid Wings are a Member Only item sold in Jam Mart Clothing for 450 gems. They come in pink, white, turquoise, light green, grey-purple, red, black, and brown.

The Heart Antennae Headband is sold in Jam Mart Clothing for 300 gems, and is a Member Only item. It comes in raspberry, pink, light pink, sky blue, purple, orchid, green, and yellow.

The Heart Scarf is sold in Jam Mart Clothing for 350 gems. It is a Member Only item. It comes in the colors raspberry w/ red, pink w/ light pink, teal w/ turquoise, green w/ light green, purple w/ light purple, pink w/ orange, white w/ pink-grey, and black w/ grey.

This Heart Cape is a Member Only item sold in Jam Mart Clothing for 300 gems. They are available in light pink, raspberry, and pink, green, light green, and turquoise, purple, neon purple, and light purple, blue, periwinkle, and ice blue, red-brown, light orange, and white, gold, yellow, and white, dark red, red, and white, and grey, black, and white.

The last item sold in Jam Mart Clothing is the Heart Balloon. It is a Member Only Item and sold for 250 gems. It comes in pink, red, orange, blue, teal, yellow, green, and purple.

This is the Rose Garland, a den item. It is sold in Jam Mart Furniture for 250 gems. This item is available for all jammers. They come in red, magenta, yellow, black, periwinkle, white, orange, blue, green, and turquoise.

The Pink Crystals is a den item and is a Member Only item. It is sold in Jam Mart Furniture for 300 gems. This item is based on the Crystal, but it is pink. 

This is a Princess Chair. It is beloved by mostly all jammers because of its pleasant look in dens. It is a Member Only item and sold in Jam Mart Furniture for 400 gems.

February's Birthstone is the Amethyst Birthstone. It is a Member Only item and sold in Epic Wonders for 1,500 gems.

The Pink Treasure is sold in Sunken Treasures for 500 gems. It is an underwater den item. It is basically treasure in the form for the Friendship Festival event in Animal Jam. It is a Member Only item.

The Heart Rug is sold in Sunken Treasures for 350 gems. It is available in the colors pink, purple, blue, red, orange, yellow, green, white, white in black outline, and brown.

Gazelle Horns

                        Gazelle Horns

   These are gazelle horns. I've been wanting a pair, and I totally forgot about Gazelle Horns because of school and stuff. I decided to make an Item Description post of Gazelle Horns.
   They come in red w/ slightly darker stripes, pink w/ white stripes, purple w/ pink-orange stripes, black w/ grey stripes, and light purple w/ grey-purple stripes. The picture above shows only four of them.
  Gazelle Horns look almost exactly the same as real gazelle horns. 

   The picture above is light purple gazelle horns. They are the second rarest item on Animal Jam (according to Julian2's video). I have never seen a Jammer with light purple gazelle horns or have seen one on someone's trade list. The only person I know to have this item is Snowyclaw, and I believe that someone scammed them.

These are Rare Gazelle Horns. They are brown with yellow stripes. These gazelle horns are more common than the unrare gazelle horns. Although they are more common and seen on trade lists more than unrare gazelles, they are hard to get from trade. Rare Gazelle Horns was a Rare Item Monday, and it was sold for 650 gems in Jam Mart Clothing. It is a Member Only item.

These are Scary Antlers. They have the same form as Gazelle Horns, but less rare than gazelles. Jammers mistake them as "orange gazelle horns." These are sold in Jam Mart Clothing for 200 gems, and they are a member only item. They are sold during the Night of the Phantoms event in Animal Jam.
                              Facts

• There used to be another pair of gazelle horns that was light brown with grey-purple stripes.
• There are 3 unreleased colors of the Gazelle Horns, white, orange, and green. All 3 of them can be found in the game 'Best Dressed.'

Founders' Hat

                        Founders' Hats

   Lots of Jammers wonder about betas, especially Founders' Hats. Jammers think these coveted item is the rarest item in Animal Jam. But are they truly the rarest item?

   The answer is, no. The rarest item ever on Animal Jam is the orange beard. Beards are WAY rarer than these golden top hats. The Founders' Hat did not even make it on the top 10 rarest items on Animal Jam (According to Julian2's video)

   The Founders' Hat is a golden form of the Top Hat, it was sold in the beta days for 40 gems, and was for members only. This top hat is a cream colored top hat, with yellow stripes and a yellow brim. 

                                 Facts

• In the app Tunnel Town, there was a free bunny called the "Founders Bunny" given to whoever installed the app on the weekend of the app being released. A few Jammers think it was called the Founders Bunny because of its similar coloring to the Founders' Hat.
• People think there is a Pink Founders Hat. They might be referring to the pink Top Hat. However, the Pink Founders Hat does not exist.
• This item is highly coveted because only a few Jammers own it and it is barely seen on Jammers' trade lists.

Jamaa Journal Updates-February 6

                           ~Updates~

The Sunken Ship den is now for ALL JAMMERS! Nonmembers can now use two dens-the small den and the sunken ship den. This is a surprise from Animal Jam to us for the Friendship Festival!

This new setting is placed at the bottom of your setting list, right below the Game Invites setting! You get on a ship, and Liza the panda alpha tells you a bit about Jamaa, its history, and a few basics. 

These Printable Valentines come with a special gem code, as shown in the Jamaa Journal.

Now, eagles will be coming! Are you ready to fly as high as you can? My friend Shiningdawn04 thinks there will be a new place for eagles, and it's in the sky! I told her that we might be able to meet Mira and possibly buy a sky den! 

As you can see, the capital letters spell EAGLES. Excited, Animals, Gliding, Long, Extremely, Super!

The Beta Days!

                      ~The Beta Days!~
I decided to make a post about the beta days. I will start off with a brief description of now-and-then Jamaa Township.
                               

This is a photo of the lower part of Animal Jam. As you can see, instead of Club Geoz, there is the Jam Mart Clothing store. 

Now this is Club Geoz, it looks like from the beta days, the form of it was flipped to the left, as the present form of Club Geoz is flipped to the right. Also, the photo booth does not exist.

Now the top of Jamaa Township, it shows that instead of the Jam Mart Clothing store, there is the Jam Mart Furniture store. Also, the board for Jammer Central has been replaced with a wooden circle with a green gem placed in the middle; embroidered with stones. The green gem is similar to the green alpha stones which you can obtain in beta adventures.

Ah, the old Crystal Sands. (I used to play in the beta days then school challenged me and it got pretty hectic. I had to quit Animal Jam, and I moved my items to a storage account (Rainbowselfies) and then it got hacked.) I miss the old Crystal Sands. Many Jammers who have seen pictures of the old Crystal Sands or have used to play in the beta days beg Animal Jam to bring it back. There were no slides, it was more like a regular beach. I do miss it, but hopefully Animal Jam might decide to bring it back one day. It is similar to the Crystal Sands we visit, but Captain Melville's juice hut looks different, with the small juice sign on a leaf.

The old Lost Temple of Zios looks pretty similar to the one we have today. Although, instead of a Zios sculpture smashed into the ground, there is a sculpture of Graham, the monkey alpha.

Many Jammers love the old den. I liked it, because I like how there are 3 floors, and the den can be owned by a nonmember. The new nonmember den is of course the small den, which has only one floor. Some Jammers prefer the new dens, because the old den was a bit too boring and Jammers love the new dens we can buy.

This was the old jammer profile. It shares the buddy button, den button, Jam-a-gram button, block button, report button, and achievement tab. It shows a tab which is the same form as the animal tab, but it is for the buttons shown. It also has the follow button (the button for going to where the person is). It does not have the animal tab, games tab, trading tab, or pet tab.

This is the old shopping box. You could not change the item's color, as shown in the boxes for the items. There are no member locks, and the embroider for the items is not wooden. At the very top, it only says Jam-Mart, instead of Jam Mart Clothing, and the title of the shop has no golden embroider.

Finally, this is the old customizing window. It has the Sort By button, the eye button, the color button, and the pattern button. The eye is different, and there are less color choices. Also, the trading tab is not there, and there is also a clear button. You cannot change the color of your name tag. There is no shop or pets button, no recycle button, and there is no limit for your clothes.

This is another picture of your den. There is a bridge, and the edit den is up on the very top left corner.

Skullies

              What happened to skullies?

 I'm sorry for the small image, I hope it's not blurry.
 Anyways, these are skullies. They are beta, and they have been removed from Animal Jam. A fellow friend and I were talking about betas, and suddenly he brought up skullies. He said that skullies were removed from the game because Animal Jam Beta Testers/Staff thought that the item looked inappropriate on pandas. This item is a tail item, and is the very first tail item created.
 It is a brown ring with a blue patch (Personally, I think it's tape...) with 3 skulls attached to it. It was sold in Jam Mart Clothing for 10 gems.
 Skullies are one of the most cheapest items sold in Jamaa.
     It could be rare or not. First of all, it could be rare because nobody in the world of Jamaa owns it. It can be unrare because it has been removed from the game and is worth nothing.
A few people thought that it was banned for its punk design, and it was inappropriate for those young jammers. Since they never knew why, it is my duty to help you understand.
